I love Chow Yun Fat, but when it comes to late 80's/early 90's Hk gambling comedies, I'd much rather watch Jeff Lau's All for the Winner, which has better jokes, a strong Stephen Chow performance and much better pace (like most Wong Jing films God of Gamblers is pretty sluggish and very hit and miss).
