"Life Aquatic" ain't my favorite, but the scene where Zissou pulls a gun on the reporter and then quickly re-holsters it while rolling his eyes was, to me, the funniest thing Bill Murray's ever done.

I don't know, that scene where Paul Rudd is mocking Starbuck's drink sizes (venti, grande) was already a fossilized old joke by the time "Role Models" got to it. Also, making fun of energy drinks after their time had come and passed. Oh, and they made fun of LARP-ing, right around the time everyone else was. And also,…

I was dreading the worst, but this is a pretty solid list. I'll never be as big an Edgar Wright fan as AVC and it's readers, so I'll let those lie.

He couldn't muster a decent response when Maher challenged him on his "anarchist" views. Morello came off pretty badly in that segment, like he wasn't used to be agreed with or arguing with people who were on the left but not as far left as he likes to think of himself.

AVC doesn't have the heart to tell these people aggregating content that they're not really writers.

If you haven't seen "Koyaanisqatsi" (which this sounds a bit like), see it immediately.

I agree, it's a pretty darn good movie. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the "victim" of the stock scams that Giovanni Ribisi saves at the end of the movie, seemed underdeveloped. Plus, it the movie ends kind of abruptly.

Apparently, these brothers are both actors (they were on soap operas mainly), as is their sister. So they already had showbiz connections through their agents, etc. which would make capitalizing on a Twitter account this way easier than if just anyone was trying to shop a book around.

They accept GJI submissions, so most likely the person who uploaded it emailed AVC. I don't get the sense that the staff scours the web for gems (most aggregators don't, really) just let reddit or whoever push the "cream" to the top and repost that.
It's what's annoying about GJI becoming the main source of content…

Kristian Nairn seems to be following the lead of the guy who played "Big Pussy" on The Sopranos - after your character gets killed, make a bunch of embarrassing cash-grab public appearances and TV commercials as you squander the goodwill you earned on a popular HBO show.
