The Shining mostly is very non-scary (and I mean "scary" in the sense of The Ring or Halloween or something).

I know it's super early but I've been wondering about any movies that are scary-ish and good but not TOO scary. One of my friends hates really scary movies and I'm bringing some over to watch with her on/around Halloween. My choices so far: Donnie Darko, The Shining, and Shaun of the Dead.
