It was merely way, way over the top?
It was merely way, way over the top?
Ray should've escaped as soon as he saw Cooper. I don't know why I was rooting for him to get away. It was pretty creepy to see him in the Lodge. Imagine dying and waking up.
There's a fan edit where someone did that. I haven't been able to see it.
That fan scene would be nice to see in it
.
I think people are influenced by Westworld when they watch.
Maybe, but it is such a universal feeling. "How did I get here? This isn't the way it was supposed to be!"
It puzzles me how a lot of people think it is an objectively annoying song. It's a beautiful dreamy 50s style song. Do people need a modern disco beat?
When he punched Cooper in the back it got a lot of us wanting the tall guy to get his comeuppance.
I think Lynch isn't like the Kubrickian director that gets multiple shots. It sounds like he just gets one or two shots.
Bob came from an accident.
Some might say that is sloppy film-making but others will say it is evidence that he is an artist.
Shelly enables her daughter to be just like her.
Stop wasting your life or being compulsive. Use your free will and do something else on sunday nights!
I don't do things I don't enjoy unless I'm getting paid.
I think you might have a problem with ambiguity.
Other than the two scenes with people talking in the Bang Bang bar, everything connects.
The 119 lady is a different thing… I can't tell you about that.
Isn't it just a good song too? Absurd? Aren't most songs absurd if you want to see them that way?
It is a 1950s style of song. Simple. Nice.
I always just thought of it as Lynch returning and didn't want him to try to think like he did when he was younger.
Artists develop and change.
The really funny people are the ones that seem to be hate watching it. It is so absurdly funny that hate watching is even something people will do. 18 hours of my life won't be spent hate watching Full House. I only try to watch shows that I like.
±Will these people eventually get 'hate married?'
What is the limit to…
Why would it be a better show if Cooper wasn't mentally handicapped?
It is interesting that a lot of people say what you are saying about art in galleries. The artist is always putting their personal self-indulgences into art. That is what fine art is as opposed to applied arts.
People walk into the whole MOMA art…
yep. People that aren't familiar with fine art are at a loss with Lynch. People that think the pace is slow could never truly look at a painting. I wish this didn't sound like an insult to those people but I always wonder if those they find real life to be insufferably slow paced.
When German expressionism came out, critics thought it was sloppy.
Primitive art was thought to be sloppy as well.
So many examples can be given in the music world too.
There is an art aesthetic where the 'sloppiness' gives work a vitality.
I can't understand why people seem to dislike that song. It's beautiful, isn't it? The original episode where it played was a really nice moment but to some people it was a low point of the series.
If you watch Eraserhead, Lynch has a very overt dubbing effect. A man sings in falsetto out of a woman's voice.
I don't think the old Cooper is coming back. He did a fine job in his insurance job. He'll do a damn fine job when he gets back into the F.B.I. as well.
