Middlemaaaannnnnn!
I was soooo hoping that Lyndsy Fonseca would have a more interesting role in this show.
"boil down to Mila getting a boyfriend" well put
+1 for Sarah Conner Chronicles. Under-appreciated and cancelled too early.
I reject the premise of this article. The New Pornographers don't have any famous songs. A shame, to be sure, but Electric Version is not even remotely one of their best.
I'm fine with suspending realism when it supports the plot or characterization. I'm the first to say that the unrealistic physics of Gravity made it a better film. If I have to choose between realism and suspense, I'd prefer suspense. Same goes for drama or comedy.
I've been to Iowa City dozens of times without ever seeing Memnonites. That's what stuck out, but your point about portraying it as provincial that is what has pissed me off. Good insight.
Another episode of Girls where Lena Dunham proves that she doesn't know anything about Iowa City. Hannah takes a horse drawn carriage home when her (locked up) bike gets stolen. Two things that seem highly improbable.
They bring on Dreama Walker just to cancel the series, boo.
Even Iowa they aren't playing songs that are 10 years old at parties.
Deserved more than a B.
I liked Lost Stars (from Begin Again) a lot until I read the lyrics. Now I just like it a little.
More Lyndsy Fonseca please.
The kid who plays Bert is the funniest young kid actor I've seen in a long time.
Craig Ferguson's show was the best late night show that no one else was watching.
Came out in Cannes in 2013, but wasn't in normal theaters until 2014.
I'm rather astounded that Birdman isn't even on the list. I might also have preferred Nightcrawler and Blue Ruin and maybe some other ones to a few on this list.
That was the only part of the show that I really liked.
Yeah, they pretty much telegraph the big twist from the end of the first night there. However, it's kind of impossible to write about the series without discussing that.
