Hoping to finish up Dhalgren this month and read through the Collected Poems of Anne Sexton.

Glad to hear that this is a good album.. I've been holding off on it honestly, waiting for reviews. I like Modest Mouse unequivocally through Moon and Antarctica, thought that Good News was pretty good and didn't like We Were Dead. So looks like this will be a nice return to form. Glad to hear that they still have it.

You are probably going to hear this a lot so I'll just jump in… Make sure you check out "Lonesome Crowded West" and "Moon and Antarctica". You won't be disappointed. Those are the high points of Modest Mouse's career. Welcome to a pretty fascinating discography!

I listen to a lot of Aphex Twin or Boards of Canada when I'm working on anything mathematical or scientific.

Great list very informative. So many names.

Captain Picard for me. Exactly what I want to be as a man: intelligent, kind, thoughtful, but firm in my convictions. Picard always has been a fictional role model for me. Even though I know that he is not a real person, his character has given me an ideal to strive for.

The screen shot also has fun little mathematical jokes like the "near miss" solution to Fermat's last Theorem (which unfortunately does not work, 4472 ends up having decimals after it) and the mathematical topology problem of a torus being deformed into a sphere (a classic problem in topology and homeomorphism). I actually like Only God Forgives. What is weird to me is that Valhalla Rising got better reviews than OGF, even though I felt like it was a worse film.

Shoot and we can't rely on DeForest Kelly to carry his Spock's brain waves!

He's still alive somewhere on the Genesis planet. Who wants to go try to find him with me?

This could be a New Dawn for Joy Division's popularity.. I just hope that it doesn't Fade…

I don't know if I am crazy or not but I have never understood the appeal of Journey. Can somebody please explain it to me?

Babylon 5.

Jar Jar is the key to all of this.

It's gonna be great, that's gonna be great.

I just finished the 6th episode of season 2 and I like it so far about as much as I liked the early seasons of DS9. Everybody always tells me that B5 gets awesome. When can I expect the series to really take off?

I just started Babylon 5 a month ago. Do not know how I never got around to watching it, probably because I always though it was just another Star Trek Deep Space 9. I loved DS9, but I am glad I got over my prejudice because B5 rocks just as hard as DS9 did.

Finding out the casting has kind of ruined the suspense of second season finale. Laurence Fishburne is back, so he survived. But we have not heard anything about Caroline Dhavernas… So I'm thinking that we will have to say goodbye to Dr. Bloom.

I don't know about you, but my favorite part of Drive was when the two main characters were comically jumping away from a huge explosion… Real human beings…

Mine was very True Detective and Hannibal centric
