Oh sorry! Do not know how I missed that!

The shaky cam is used to give the show a docu-realistic style, along with the rapid zooms on the ships (to create the illusion that the camera couldn't keep up with the movement). Don't worry, they tone down the shaky cam later on it the series. It is really rough during the season one Caprica scenes.
Gaius and Kara almost frak at the end of season 1, but the moment is ruined when she yells out Lee's name.
"but I always thought she and Tricia Helfer did a damn fine job creating distinct characters that never made it hard to follow which Cylon was which."
SPOILER:
"The fact that Zarek usually has a point is the most interesting thing about him, if you ask me."
It dropped off of Amazon Prime. Most disappointing thing that has happened recently. I was rewatching the series. Now what do I watch?! Star Trek: Enterprise!?
(Spoilers?) Even Adama and Tigh have some… Rocky moments later on in season 4. I remember guns and drinking to be a thing.
I agree with you about The Motion Picture, I actually really like that film.
Thank you! Racetrack always had my eye. I thought I was rare in this.
I definitely felt like the space battles were a lot more visceral to watch. All those scenes of the Galactica putting up defensive perimeters are awesome. It is so thrilling to see all the space around the ship light up with artillery fire.
Goodbye Ronald…
You could take another perspective and say that it was not it was not evolution, but the "one true God" who did it. Since the show does have such a strong religious component, I always saw this as less of a coincidence and more of "God" (whoever the true God is) spread his children throughout the galaxy..
I just took the independent evolution of another group of humans as a further example of the Pythian prophesy: "All this has happened before and it will happen again." The show uses the motif of the cyclic nature of time and history frequently, so I actually kind of liked the idea of humans evolving again somehow.…
One thing I love about this series (which may have already been mentioned in the comments, but I'm too lazy to read through them) is how practical the space battles are.
Picard would have never fallen for such an obvious trap!
Yeah I guess they did, I just forgot about Bride of Chaotica, but I remember now that I did not like it very much. But I was thinking of what this episode would have been like if they just swapped the Voyager crew for the DS9 crew, considering that the reason that this episode works mostly because of how much the…
"Badda-bing Badda-Bing" has the same place in the show for me as "Take Me Out to the Holosuite." Right before we get into the final arc of the series, it is good to be reminded what these characters are fighting for. The holosuite Vegas is kind of dopey, but it reminds us that the Federation is fighting a war to keep…
I thank you for exponentially increasing my quality of life.
You're right. One thing that always bothered me about "Hard Time" was that it never really seemed to have an effect on later episodes. Seeing as DS9 touted an increased sense of continuity it feels weird that O'Brien never seems to have any further complications from his ordeal. They don't even mention it again after…
