Interesting theory, I like it.
I keep hearing people talk about the loud volume of the music, and I have that problem too, though I also hear that apparently its got something to do with it being targeted at surround sound, not your regular stereo.

so… it wasn't special in the classic era is what you're saying?

I'm more peeved that the Doctor shot someone. That's just wrong.

I'm disappointed that Missy chose Clara simply because she wanted the Doctor to like chaos. That's about as lame as "so that's who blew up my TARDIS".
Also the quip about "It wasn't the Presidents wife, it was his daughter" … Moff subtly trying to say the Doctor was once a little girl?

Space hay.

Did you even watch it? He's still only a day or two older but he can remember the last few minutes of each time he rebooted it.

Wrong forum? This is Doctor Who, not Harry Potter.

While I consider this season to be great, I am with you here, Season 8 was very fun.

100 years each time if you listen to what he says about the bird coming to sharpen its beak.

Or maybe Me really is his mother.

Not only that, Clara and Angels!

Just rewatched, he says the bird comes to peck once every 100 years.

I though Doc Martens had steel caps…. Either way it'd do much more damage than his puny fist, as he could rapidly hit it til the shoe wore out, then use the other shoe, THEN use his fist… could shave a billion years off.

I found it surprisingly easy to rewatch. Normally episodes like this are designed to be watched once as the mystery generally ruins it. Not this one!

He does want to do other stuff. He just can't get past the addiction of writing the show! I highly doubt Capaldi is leaving. He gave up other shows he was in the middle of to do this. He wanted to do it since he was a kid himself. I don't seem him walking away from tihs without a BBC boot up his behind.

Pretty certain he's already confirmed. ""Peter Capaldi is going nowhere," Steven Moffat told Variety when asked recently about series 10."

He could have finally made use of those attack eyebrows…
