That's an interesting topic, though I get something completely different from the show. First, I think the idea that there are alternatives to the "2.2 kids and picket fence" route is a sort of theme or subtext to the show, and definitely not seen as damage. Sherlock gave Joan a serious (not "quirky/eccentric") speech

Mindy was extra annoying this episode (or lately?). So, I agreed with Ben, he is better than her right now. It's interesting that the reviewer said Ben doesn't know who Mindy is, because I kind of feel like I no longer have a handle on that either.

When they said they had to hire a new doctor, I immediately thought — "Oh, they should hire a woman! And she and Mindy should become friends!" Mindy seems to have almost the same relationship with everyone at this point. It'd be nice if she had someone she hangs out with.

Favorite line: "Yes, you’ll be eating boiled boots for Christmas dinner!"

I liked this episode. It was fun. I'm surprised people are hating on it so much. It's a funny 20+ minute sitcom. I know it's a matter of taste, but I don't really know many of those right now. Plus, while I don't think the show has to be really realistic, I still think Mindy brings a real, smart, relatable perspective

Er, I was pretty into this episode AND I liked the directing quite a bit. This comes as a surprise to me since I was super bored after "The Fish Rots from the Head" and thought I might never watch again. To each his own and all that, but here's my take…

Right! Actually, I suddenly found myself not liking Alicia at some point this season. She can have a sort of… err… "rich bitch" vibe going on (probably a better way to put it…).

That makes sense to me. I just wasn't sure whether she meant it or not.

Good point.

I'm sort of struggling to follow the grand jury stuff, but I don't get why this donor would be so eager to rat on Peter if he really did believe that Peter helped his son deal with the murder charge. Wouldn't you be… grateful?

Yeah, I felt like for Alicia to say she doesn't like her children and then never address that again was a little weird.

I'd still like to see more. But I would like Miller and Einstein to not be there.

Despite all the flaws of season 10, in the end, I am just happy to have gotten new X-Files episodes and more time with Mulder and Scully. Fingers crossed for more.

Err, this is probably not the point, but I do know that Chris Carter watches TV like the rest of us. He was asked his fav shows during an interview a month ago.

I don't see a reboot working. At that point, like, make a new show? I agree with many here, though, that they need to distance themselves from the new "mythology" they created this season.

I love this idea. I really wish we could have seen this.

I thought the same thing, that it smelled like they were setting up Miller and Einstein for a spin-off. But I reeeeally couldn't stand them so I hope not.

I think they were more awkward this episode because they now know that they like-like each other, which I would guess they only really discovered while stewing over their previous meeting.

The option Sherlock took was "drawn to." I thought that was appropriate and something Sherlock would say.

For me this episode was better than expected. I'm satisfied with the reset… The stuff with Olivia and Mellie, the merciful distance from Fitz (who I actually hate seeing more than Papa Pope), Abby and Olivia hangin', the weird stuff going on with Jake and Papa Pope (who feels subtly rejiggered for the better), and
