I don't usually needle people over their appearance, even people who deserve it but, man, Bannon just looks like he doesn't take care of himself in any way. He looks exactly like I'd expect someone who spends their life running a hateful website which attracts… well, the kind of person it attracts.

More like 'Sensible people think alike.'

That's a good point, but somebody stealing a huge amount of saltpeter from anywhere (and I doubt butchers would have it in the same levels as the EIC) is going to grab attention. And attacking the EIC is good because it weakens them and exposes them to prosecution by their greatest enemy, the Crown.

Perhaps save them for when thousands of enemy troops are advancing on the United States then.

Oh, I am sure you wrote a huge response which utterly eviscerated everything I believe and chose to not respond. Not because you would be squashed in an argument with someone who actually knows something, but because my understanding is too low. Right.

The entire point of Delaney is that he is using the mystique and opacity of African culture to become a menace to the EIC. He's exploiting it, but in a different way. It's like he's taking them on at their own game, and beating them, which is why they hired a non-white (malay) to deal with him. Because he's not

Well, not all justice is carried out through the system, hence why ideas like social justice exist. And not all judicial rulings are just, for example Trayvon Martin. At the very least if someone is accused of abusing their position to assault others, well, they probably shouldn't be put in that same position again.

I don't wan to say there's not smoke without fire, but there's quite a lot of smoke here. As I said, the fact that there are 2 allegations and that both are quite detailed, consistent and coherent makes me believe them. Just as multiple consistent, coherent allegations made me believe that Cosby, O'Reilly etc were

I understand your point, it used to be my position, but the issue is that this is something that is baked into the structures of Hollywood. This is something that Hollywood as an institution has allowed, something that they've enabled, and something that they have to make a serious effort to publicly stand against.

Women lie, but you can't tell me that it's unbelievable that a privileged movie star in a position of power over women tried to abuse that for his own sexual gratification. It's a pattern of behaviour we've seen time and time again.

But the judicial system isn't particularly good to women in these cases. When it comes down to he-said-she-said, well, the movie star is obviously going to have a lot more people on his side, people he won't even have to ask to lie for him because he makes them money.

Abortion isn't murder and there's not a lot you can say that will put it on that level.

The thing that I love with the smaller spaces is that we can make them better. You can argue with people, you can be taken at your word, and, perhaps best of all, there are often no kids. You can flag offensive posts, because you actually have mods who care about the community and will ban people.

Sometimes.

While there are obviously quite a lot of these guys, they don't even make the majority of Trump supporters.

Whoa… reading that back it's not a good comment. I was in a rush and some of my thoughts got meddled.

Persona may be trope-y, but in my opinion tropes aren't bullshit. The thing is, the way you've described the characters as archetypes is reductive: there's a lot more to their wants, their fears, and their lives than that. The issue with a lot of anime is that there really isn't much more to the characters than

I don't see the show losing rating much. But if reviewers dogpile on it, then maybe.

I think japanese games with anime inspiration tend to have 'anime bullshit' but I think 'video game bullshit', in the west, at least, comes from simply having a medium which, for a long time didn't have particularly good storytellers, a medium with a lot of young people, and a medium made mostly by men, for men. Of

Yes. Lifting asses, to get the optimal angle for kicking.
