If I was a film teacher, I would show this movie as an example of modern era horror, in that it so explicitly references genre staples but has some modern touches (the kids' relationships, the monster itself.) Also this movie actually gave me full-body goosebumps which is the sign of a good horror film. Go see Kairo…
