Star Trek wasn't political? That's news to me. Maybe Shatner means in the narrow sense of choosing a side in the Republicrat duopoly. Trek has always been political, most great science fiction is. And, yeah, Ted Cruz is a blithering moron. He should stick to talking about things he knows and understands… in other

Yeah, so did I. That's odd.

Well, Briggs certainly makes some good points. Can't really argue with anything he's said. The Alien franchise has been moribund for decades. I would prefer that Mark Verheiden's Aliens trilogy of the late-80s be considered cannon and Alien3 and Alien Resurrection be explained away as nothing more than Ripley's

Can't we all just get along… without Adam Sandler?

I was going to mention this, but you beat me to it. Brilliant line.

Gee, what an assholish thing to say. I admit, I'm nowhere near as big of an asshole as you are. I've spent most of my life trying to avoid being one. I have so much to learn. I'm sure that you will educate me in how to become as colossal an asshole as you are.

And then?

Why? Don't you like it when people act like assholes? You should be proud that others are following your assholish example. You're a trend setter, yes you are…

I guess even people who've got nothing better to do than put their assholishness on display for the whole world to see can at least be proud of it. Congratulations.

"I wasn't trying to troll, just be an asshole."

Go troll someone else…

Yeah, it's gotten a lot better. I have to admit that I wasn't too enthusiastic after episode 1. I'll probably binge watch the entire season when it's over to see if I can figure it out. You could be right, though, and maybe it's not well presented at all. I have the same problem with The Big Sleep I'm still trying to

Yeah, I'll certainly check that out, thanks. I was just curious if others were as lost as I am.

Am I the only one who has no idea what's going on in the show? I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is being investigated, who the actors are, what their connections are to each other, and what the stakes are. Or is there some kind of consensus that practically no one can follow the convoluted plot? Sorry, I

That E.T. is "clearly for kids" is irrelevant to its quality as a film. A film's intended audience tells you nothing about the filmmaker's abilities as a filmmaker. Regardless, I never criticized E.T. for being "unrealistic," so I'm not sure what your point is. And, as far as I'm concerned, a film can be realistic or

Overrated by whom?

"Hey! Don't dis 1941! That movie is fucking brilliant, and totally unappreciated."

"Listen, there was plenty to be horrified about, you can pick and choose as you want. But so can everyone else."

Yes, I agree. What was so horrific about the Holocaust wasn't that the Nazis were inhuman monsters who cold-bloodedly murdered millions of defenseless human beings. What was horrific about the Holocaust was that the Nazis were all-too human. Identifying with the victims, as Spielberg wants us to do in Schindler's List

How should I rephrase what? I'm not even sure what was so offensive in the first place.
