Honestly, Black women age really well. It's crazy when you compare Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, etc., to their non-Black counterparts. They look so much younger.

I really wanted to support this show, but I hate Tamra. I hate that Mindy always talks about that burden of representation and then wrote a character like Tamra. I wanted to support this show, but Mindy is just more of the same.

Why is that we always do remakes instead of just airing the original?

I wonder if Tatum is going to do a real Cajun accent or just throw in some random French phrases

I didn't even know the husband's name until this episode. I can only remember Frank & Wes. I have been referring to Annalise as Viola Davis.

I've never read Zane's books but they were insanely popular when I was growing up, but I did watch Temptation. From my understanding, the key difference between Zane & Tyler Perry is that there is no Christian moralizing in her books. It's erotica, not an attempt to save our souls.

It was actually more accurate of a portrayal than I expected. I didn't expect to see so many parallels, especially with the work office, with my own life and those around me.

Tracee Ellis Ross on screen again!!

What doesn't mater?

Calm down, there's nothing more lame than cursing at rando's from the safety of your keyboard.

And keep in mind there are NO "angry Black women" in her shows!

No, I don't know if it was exclusively that Robert was Black. Libby's involvement with Robert & CORE was all about her. It was clear from how little she knew about anything beyond getting coffee that she was just looking for Robert. I think what attracted her attention was that conversation with Coral, and her own

If you know more about the portrayal of Black women as angry/sapphire, then it would make sense why ppl would feel upset at such a poorly written article in a national paper (especially considering that everything that Shonda Rhimes' characters are goes against this popular stereotype). I don't know about liberals but

I agree. You know his principles because he states them. You can also tell by the way he moves around white folks and the way he treats Libby in the CORE office.

I lost all respect for Robert and hope he gets written out of the show. Libby really gave not one fuck about what they were doing at CORE & was just there to explore her wild side? And he helped her? I understand they are trying to show the eventual dissolution of Libby& Bill's marriage but to use the civil rights

It's more so the history behind that term. Calling someone an "Angry White man" is not the same as calling someone an "Angry Black woman" because of the way Black women have been historically portrayed as Sapphires. And this is a stereotype that trickles into real life. The irony is that one of the reasons why Shonda

I don't buy Libby joining CORE. For some of her stature it just doesn't fit, but I love me some Robert so I'm all for more scenes of him.

I'm more annoyed at the people who create these dumb, sexy Latina roles than the women who play them.

I think he might be the most beautiful person I've ever seen.

Agreed. Scandal definitely operates in an alternate universe
