Except that Badalamenti didn't write that one. ;)

And the theme song itself is so beautiful and sad.
That should have been the headline! The other stuff has me excited too, but as soon as I read Badalamenti's name I actually exclaimed "YES!" aloud.
Yeah, the Gawker piece alone is dubious, but the fact that numerous commentators and comedians have hinted that they've known about this for a while gives this a lot more weight in my mind. I can't really buy the angle that a bunch of unconnected people would all simultaneously try to fuck with this guy's career for…
well, this thread went to hell in a handbasket
Does anyone else think the new song sounds like Psychedelic Furs a bit?
The song they linked to doesn't sound much like either of those bands, though.
I was waiting for that.
Thank you. I'm glad I'm not alone.
See, that's more like it!
I actually thought it might be funny! The byline said it'd be "hilarious"! And "bizarre"!
IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE HIS COMPUTER HAS A MICROPHONE AND HE SWEARS INTO IT
It's the way the theme song kicks in right afterwards that kills me.
I don't care. I love Death Wish 4 by virtue of it being one of the stupidest films ever made. Like… he escapes from a warehouse shootout by finding a truck whose window was open and whose key was in the ignition and driving away! THAT WAS HIS PLAN. And then they chase after him on foot for a few seconds and just… give…
I'm hoping it was an attempt at sarcasm that backfired miserably.
I get the sense that Patton's grown up and mellowed out considerably. He has nothing left to prove and he knows it, and I think it's probably a relief.
Wow, I didn't know their issues with each other were that deeply rooted. I guess it makes sense - it always seemed more like a case of two very strong personalities inevitably clashing than any specific incident.
Mosley also has pretty well-documented performance anxiety. According to Matt Wallace, he'd always come down with something just before a recording session, to the point where it became clear there was some kind of psychosomatic thing going on. It's actually kind of sad.
I loved reading Bill Gould's account of a young Patton meeting groupies. "Why do you want to fuck me? You don't even KNOW me!"
Also, given that your avatar is Jaz Coleman, I assume you know that Geordie Walker of Killing Joke was very, very briefly considered to replace Jim Martin?
