Elijah's "ugh, no" to Jessa's presence was perfect. I'm sincerely looking forward to seeing what Andrew Rannells does next.

The ravens! I'd forgotten about the ravens! Wow, I miss early-season TVD. #bringbacktheravens2k17

Sometimes, when I'm having a particularly weird day, I think about how the biggest problem in Mystic Falls used to be Damon and his creepy fog. A simpler time, 2009.

Oh lord. In my mind, Dan Scott is honestly one of the strangest characters to have been on television. It was kind of a train wreck from start to finish, but it was so unapologetically soapy that teenage me was hooked. I think I finally quit somewhere around season seven.

I hadn't even thought about One Tree Hill in ages and as soon as he showed up onscreen last week, I looked at my cat and said, "Look, it's Chris Keller."

I like Tech Guy, but all I can see when I look at him is Chris Keller.

Yeah, I'm more inclined to give Monty a pass than Bellamy or Jasper. He'd basically lost everyone he loved, and then he got his mom back. Unfortunately his mom was a manipulative Pike-supporter, but I could absolutely understand Monty wanting to believe his mom was on the right side of things.

Ugh, agreed. I really don't know what happened in the writer's room this season, but something seems to have gone very, very wrong. I think they've squandered most of the viewers' goodwill they amassed during season two and the back-half of season one. At least there's Murphy. "Clarke's always in trouble."

Why do I find Jasper more tolerable when he's chipped? Him drolly listing all of the ways the 100 have died via intercom was my favorite part of the episode, although Murphy reuniting with the delinquents was a close second.

Sir Lyle is back! That's really all I needed to know about season three. Also, I'm so curious to see where they go with Mr. Jekyll. He and Frankenstein have such…chemistry. I wish I had a better science pun.

Very true. Murphy has never claimed to be anything but…Murphy. There have been very few instances where we've seen Murphy feel the need to explain his reasoning or justify his actions to anyone. He just does whatever he believes he has to do to survive. If I had to put money on anyone surviving until the end of

Bellamy's arc this season has been…well, whatever the opposite of character development is. Character devolvement?

Agreed. The way Bellamy can't seem wrap his head around the depth of Octavia's anger and grief in this episode is baffling given that his reaction to death of his girlfriend was to destroy a fragile alliance and massacre hundreds of people.

I find it odd that this show, which has over the course of three seasons managed to actually endear Murphy to me, has struggled so profoundly with Bellamy's redemption arc. And I have no idea what they're trying to accomplish with Pike at this point.

Veronica and Logan. Their ship name is literally LoVe. They're immensely fucked up, or at least they certainly were as teenagers, but epic. I know that reviews on the movie were mixed, but knowing that they wound up together, and having the epic speech referenced (something viewers were led to believe Logan had no

I think my heart just cracked open. This show gets me every damn time.

Lindsay plus Gretchen's rap babies never disappoint. "Why did he buy the car if he don't appreciate the features?"

You're the Worst a.k.a. That Fx "Comedy" That's Just A Little Too Real. This show once again proves why it's the only show I care about seeing the night it's on—it always leaves me the emotional equivalent of an anaconda that's just eaten a deer.

Agreed. "May I use the remaining time to talk about my parents' divorce?"

It's nice to know that eventually SOMETHING will work out for Alaric. Because you know this resurrection stone nonsense can't end well…I guess it is time that TVD covers a zombiesque storyline. Anything to distract me from the Heretics. But hey, at least they aren't Travelers.
