It is bizarre to me though that Gilead is actually filmed in Toronto and Cambridge Ontario. Like, where they hang people is close to my step dad's house. And then Moira with that licence plate, that i see every day. It's bizarre - it takes me out of the show because of the dissonance for me :P

I bet Kenny G makes a mint - i hear this kind of music everywhere. I don't know how many other people play elevator music for a living, though.

Random (kinda): I'm not from the US, but when i was in DC last year to do the Smithsonian thing and other cultural stuff I immediately noticed that there were black people employed at all the Smithsonian museums and I didn't see a single black person employed at any of the private, non-Smithsonian galleries i went to.

I'm Canadian and when i lived in the UK for awhile they once shut down the trains due to high winds. High winds in the autumn! It was adorable.

Entirely localized within your kitchen?

Seymour, the kitchen's on fire!

….."Gimme that!"

"Hey, this isn't the YMCA!"

Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.

As a girl growing up, i loved this book as there doesn't seem to be very many written through a male perspective about sexuality ( though maybe Diary of Adrian Mole kinda?)

I actually read the Ballard 'Crash' when i was, like 15 (the Cronenberg movie had come out here in Canada so i was interested in the book). I was kinda thrilled, honestly. I was over books geared to adolescents by then.

He reminds me of Donna's dad from That 70's Show.

My friend is in his mid-40s and carries a backpack everywhere. I don't know what's in it that makes it weigh, like, 40 pounds. I ask him and he just says, 'Oh, just water and lunch and stuff' - but he appears more like a turtle with his home on his back.

I really missed this. My favourite is still poor Kyle Kinane who had to tour with the perverted ventriloquist.

Edible oil product! I worked in a hotel kitchen and we'd use a gallon of this thick, clear oil that would whip up in the mixer and sit overnight on top of desserts in the fridge without losing shape. Some ice cream trucks also serve edible oil product 'ice cream' - beware!

It's funny how this stuff works. I'm a pretty curious person, well educated and into i guess what could be termed 'intellectual' stuff (ugh). My long term relationships, especially my current one has always seemed to be guys who i guess are on the same wavelength as me that way, however they are always interested in

"Strengths: Blaine's last moment realizing face is gone."

Remember Herpes, we can live with that badness, I'll always have Radio Shack in my soul. Someday, i don't know when, we're going to get to that shop we really want to buy at and leave in the sun.

Just as an aside: i grew up and live around the various shooting locations for this show. It alternately takes me out of the show while at the same time it's really alarming seeing people being hanged where it's very familiar. My step dad lives not too far from where they hang people down by the river, for example.

I'm sure you're referencing it, but there's a Planet Money podcast ep about Subaru clandestinely and purposely advertising to lesbians in the 90s. Lesbarus!
