Surely it's become apparent to you by now that people judging other people according to their looks is something that literally everyone does. (It's only when they fail to alter their judgements based on actions that it becomes problematic to do so).

Apologies: I'll try it without gender: 'I think it looks like a PTA person or a houseperson.'

You mean the woman you slept with (?) when she was teenager and at least 20 yrs younger than you wouldn't have the same resonance for you as a living son announcing himself shortly after the death of your daughter?

    Said with love though <3

Yeah I get what you're saying, but complex characters are collections of flaws AND qualities. These characters seem to have no qualities, only flaws. (The main characters in Glow otoh seem to have some redeeming qualities as of episode 5 where I'm up to.)

You thought the DaVinci Code was a slog to read? Didn't have enough pictures for you?

Whoa whoa whoa! Slow down with the complicated philosophy jargon!

At least your avatar is charming as hell even though he's a horrible person.

Yeah this. Freedom to not always be nice doesn't necessarily preclude the option!

I initially liked Nancy Botwin but quickly learned to dislike her due to the absolutely bone headed decisions she made (like never having an exit plan to go into normal work).

Because there would only be enough screen time to air 3 movies a day rather than 6?

    Dear AVC,

You know this is why poor white people vote Republican right?

The same is true of almost EVERY superhero/villain.

And if I didn't win enough money to feed the family, when I got home papa showed me all the moves I stuffed up… in person.

Pfft! You sound like a hospital security guard I met one time

I preferred the European version of Divine Profanity - they really weren't afraid to have Jesus really let loose on those Pharisees

Pfft! I can do that without the game!

It's probably more out of recognition that a lot of the reason why poor white people can get whipped up into a frenzy against foreigners taking their jobs or against ethnic minorities receiving "special treatment" is because actually white people are getting screwed too.

How much does irony weigh though?
