The real problem for the sequels is how Cameron had planned to make so many of the sets and practical effects out of unobtainium. I mean fair call you'd think to try to use local materials, but who'd have thought so many bloody environmentalists would get up in arms about it?

Because no matter what the Wachowskis try to claim the first movie wrapped everything up, to the point where I will not be convinced that sequels were originally intended.

Ummm… why did they build multiple cities on the one track? Actually, HOW did they build multiple cities on the one track? Surely the original city on the track would've just gone and eaten the fledgling cities on the track as they're being built?

Those shots are actually fantastic examples of how seamlessly he integrates stop motion animation - watching the movies you'd actually think that you were seeing a real human behind, rather than the Real Doll they just manually pose.
