Speaking as a kid in Singapore who's watched a lot of HK Wuxia movies, Crouching Tiger made no impression to me when i saw it. The fights are well shot. Michelle Yeoh is a plus. But i wouldn't call it a Classic for me. Maybe its different for Western audiences.
