Haven't seen Knock Knock, although I admit it looks more interesting than his other movies. You don't think Haneke has a sense of humor? The remote scene in Funny Games is hilarious, IMO. He may be more bleak and sardonic, but I think he inserts some humor into his films.

While those are two great flavors, I'm not sure they go together, like, even a little bit.

Actually, I think that Saw was unfairly lumped in with Hostel. Say what you will about Saw, but at least it has a fucking ethos, man.

You say "less subtle", I say "more successful".

Please, they're called cloaker movies. Caper movies have superheroes in them.

Oh god, yes please.

After $1.5 billion of Jurassic World, you could probably make just about ANY movie break even by shoehorning in some raptors.

I didn't know that!
Username/comment synergy fail.

SYNAGOGVE does very well on the Bar Mitzvah circuit, though.

Entire article made unnecessary by the header image? Infographic that isn't explained and is therefore confusing within the article?
Yup, this is Good Job, Internet. God, I hate this feature.

I'm actually sure that quite a lot of material has been written about this. At least a few phone book's worth.

It's coming soon to a discussion of First World Problems near you.

But what will Hardy wear covering his mouth?
I just can't see him in this role.

I Fucking Hate You, Internet!

Oh boy, the new Dawes!

They killed it because although Nolan didn't intend to make more movies (and I'm glad, because Rises was awful), it didn't have a meaningful conclusion. If anything, it seemed primed to continue with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Then, when they decided it was over, they decided to continue with the aesthetic Nolan used, but

Yup. I didn't know that until I googled it, but it's rather interesting. Overall, I'd say it's a good thing, because it's nice that Jackson got a role and brought a little more diversity to the cast.

Yeah, I was being snarky. I'm sure BvS will do well, but I don't think it will outperform MoS by a large margin, which made <$700M. I think it's going to do well, but similar to MoS there will be enough critical backlash to undermine DC's ambition for worldbuilding and they're going to be doing reshoots for Aquaman

If you think that Man of Steel was well directed, I can only assume that you are in fact Zack Snyder, posting anonymously. And even you know that to give it unequivocal praise is something that cannot be countenanced in the face of what you have done.

That list gets a lot thinner when you cut out all the Sony films, F4 part 2, and when Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and JLA get cancelled after BvS turns into another Man of Steel Fiasco.
