"Rome" by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. I loved that album (enough to remember the proper names.) Norah Jones and Jack White lent some vocals, but the instrumentals alone are damn good

"You've attended Greendale for three years, but don't community colleges end after two?"
"Everyone's always saying that! The average community college student attends school 5 to 7 years. Many offer 4 year degrees!"

That whole scene just made the episode for me. (Well, and the next scene because it included the wonderfully filthy out-of-context "I've been inside a kid all day and now I can feel my bones scraping together" while he's naked and covered in blood).

Elaine's story about her diaphragm with the virgin confused the hell out of me. I could definitely track my maturation by how old I was when I finally came to understand certain Seinfeld references.

I loved how Rick criticized Morty for making shit up by asking about the "quantum carburetor" because you can't just mash up science and car terms, then he immediately talks about the "microverse battery" being faulty.

I was OBSESSED with "We're Back!" as a child. Like you said, it was just like Little Nemo in that it wasn't afraid to be scary. Everything about Professor Screweyes and his circus was absolutely horrifying. But it was balanced so well with the parts with the children's wishes, and the warmth of Julia Child's and

I'll offer up another 80s example in Tears for Fears' "Sowing the Seeds of Love" and "Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams." Same lyrics (mostly), but very different styles.

I also liked that there was no B story and we got the whole family together. The show has turned into Rick & Morty & Summer, which has only made it stronger. And I think Beth is an underutilized character so far. Sarah Chalke can be incredibly funny, even just voice acting (How I Met Your Mother almost made me forget

For some reason, Rick shouting "we have to kill everybody we only have fond memories of!" made me laugh the most this episode.

It definitely felt shoehorned in to me. The whole time I felt like I was missing some inside joke about the voice actor (which, turns out, I was). I figured they were either going to play it straight or cut it off in a humorous manner, which they did with Rick's comment, but it ran a little too long in my opinion and

I loved that too. It was the biggest, most tense, most thrilling moment in the movie, and they played it for laughs as well. I thought that was a brilliant move.

"To you, I leave this bottle of fine scotch so that you're less tempted to drink this cylinder of even finer sperm."

I had no clue this was coming back tonight. I was flipping through channels and thought I'd put the rerun on in the background (can never see too much Lee Pace), but then I saw Cameron's longer hair. Can't say I'm thrilled it's back, but it's perfect background noise half-watching material.

Not even the "New Gold Dream" album? Or who could hate the song "I Travel" off the "Empires and Dance" album? I'm sorry, but I'll go to the mat for Simple Minds. And a lot of other 80s bands that get unfairly written off just for being 80s bands. Simple Minds got the OMD treatment where they're known for one song from

Gilmore Girls ends with Rory becoming a reporter following the Obama campaign trail. She wonders if her job will last - "It could be two months, it could be two years if Barack does well!" And in an even earlier episode, Rory mentions getting to interview Obama for the Yale Daily News and she gets asked "did you ask

I really don't know how anyone watches "Sixteen Candles" anymore, particularly when it reruns on something like ABC Family. From "let's laugh at the funny Asian exchange student" to "here, take this unconscious girl and have fun," the painfully outdated moments outweigh the nostalgic cuteness.

Something along the lines of "He looks like that fellow from the movies, you know, Ralph Bellamy!" I watched His Girl Friday for the first time the other week and I couldn't believe they let that joke stay in.

Oh yes, the second Glen said "I love you" to Maggie, I would've bet money he was a goner. But thank god they didn't do that, because I hate how obvious the deaths can be on this show.

Exactly! I was absolutely expecting people to die, so watching almost everyone elude death was a much better surprise as far as I'm concerned. It felt like a big game of "Guess Which Major Character is Getting Offed!" and the subversion was nice.

Same here. I get that she's a popular character, but at this point she is so far removed from all the main storylines that I fear her scenes could interrupt the flow of the season. But you're right, this show hasn't steered me wrong before, so I'm assuming her scenes will ultimately affect our regular group back in
