And that's where editing becomes your friend. This is 40 should never have been over two hours long with such a threadbare plot.

"I just made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs"
Colada? I just met her!
I heard somebody was slagging off Prometheus, I came as quick as I could. [smacks flute in his hand menacingly]
"How can the same guy have to science the same shit out of the same thing twice."
The Martian 2 - "Looks like I'm going to have to science the shit out of this… AGAIN!"
Ditto - I was worried his character was just going to quip his way through the movie. The trailer's "oh shi…" moment is about as offbeat as his character gets (apart from some other content which is much more banter related).
In defence of Tennessee's wife - I loved that bit because, as a germophobe myself I could see exactly what was going on in her head and the way she hesitated constantly when either touching something or trying to help. Her entire performance was very realisitic because, not surprisingly, people don't always make…
"This is Brett, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off and you can bet your damn ass we're going to be talking about the bonus situation when I get back".
I'll ditto the other comments. I'd bought The New Order on sale and felt, for the first time in ages, that I'd have happily payed full price on release for it. The level design, pacing, detail and atmosphere is probably the best since Half Life 2….the game is very evocative of City 17 in places.
Couldn't agree more. My only real beef was the sudden almost random appearance of Saito. I expect there's a fair amount of footage of him on the cutting room floor.
I splurged for IMAX showing and did not regret it. Some of the scenes are jaw dropping so I'd go for theatre for this one.
Close, it's when you crack open a pistachio only to find you've got a human brain in there that starts long monologues on the various states of existence between the body and the soul.
Major for the most part. Not entirely sure why either :
This is one of the more glowing reviews I've seen. A lot of the others seem to concede that it's a much better film than anticipated, but they keep harking back to what the anime does in order to not let score gravitate much higher than say, 3/5.
But but… "snarky offbeat deadpan response to previous comment"
So that's it huh? We're not the patsies, we're some kind of due process squad.
You had one job Petri
"but that'll be the mortician's problem".
Not to mention Stan's reaction when Francine tells him that Steve replaced his Football Fantasy team with actual Fantasy genre characters.
