Three tits… awesome!

But if the gods are aliens then why are there still aliens around!

YES! Zardoz 2… the worst movie I'd ever watch from beginning to end!

Agreed. Stupid light! Make up your mind… wave or particle!

Ice Pirates! It's got pirates on spaceships.

Cronkite was not objective. He was a patriotic American. You can't be objective when you openly identify with one side. If you think he treated America's enemies (and their claims) with the same skepticism/credulity as those of American officials (and their claims) you are kidding yourself.

I don't think objectivity needs to die. I simply think it needs to finally be admitted that it actually doesn't exist. It never has existed. It never will exist. That the media claim to be is either a lack of honesty on their part, or a lack of self-awareness (or possibly not understanding what the word means I

It's easy to impress people when you just plagiarize. Though I always thought pointing out his ripping off other people's words without proper attribution was a bit unfair.

Good point. I look at some of the stuff I read when I was a kid and it's pretty bad to my old self now. But I enjoyed it as a kid, and had I not been reading it would I still be reading books? Or would I be like many of my friends who consider a magazine/newspaper article to be a arduous task and lament any e-mail

Which is my point. It's nothing new in literature to value some genres over others.
Even to the point of creating new genres on the off chance that something considered "worthy" accidentally appears in an unworthy genre.
Like "1984" not being a science fiction novel… because it is to be taken seriously, and science

"That means that the way we have talked about YA fiction since 2005 has largely been constructed around privileging authenticity, or the idea that certain genres and books are inherently more “real” or “prestigious” than others."

Which doesn't work on misspelled names. Leaving one "dward"…. and the interweb figured it out.

That depends, are you seeing four Krustys?

A favorite for me as well. But ditching the no life limit and the drive through the completely different world of trees and greenery was a vast improvement.

You couldn't have seen the original then. It had the tacked on up beat ending of Ford and Young driving through Kubrick's leftover footage from the Shining. And the revelation that unlike all the other replicants Young's character didn't have a 5 year life span.

You've clearly never seen Jack and Jill!

I've played games like Skyrim and Fallout actively avoiding using fast travel from time to time. However, I usually end up cheating all the time. Eventually the trek from Vegas to Goodsprings (detouring around the Deathclaws and death wasps) just seemed too daunting to trudge through.

Straight up christian propaganda banned by christian school. They're their own worst enemies.

Can't a person come on a message board in this internet without someone trying to offer them a job?

That is hilarious… would be even better if it were true.
