What the hell are you talking about?

Sometimes the most obvious interpretation is the most obvious for a reason. I find a lot of the synthesizer stuff in the original almost overpowers the song, to it's detriment. I don't hate the original, but there are elements that could be removed which would improve it overall, in my opinion.

I love Southland Tales. It's a big, sprawling, glorious mess of a movie.

We're here to read about and discuss things audio and visual, not partake in them damn it!

There are some good moments in Final Frontier, but it's still the worst movie hands down.

No one wants to post spoilers and ruin the surprise for everyone else.

Ah, I misinterpreted your point. I agree that the idea that credentials make you right is the wrong way around. But I'm not a regular reader of Krugman (only occasional) so I'll leave it to anyone who is more familiar with his writings to decide if they want to take issue with the idea that he's changed into a self

I think Chomsky would be more apt to fill this role 20 to 40 years ago, when his writing was less narrow than it has been in recent years. Back when he wrote essays like The Responsibility of Intellectuals. Now his writings are more focused on the mechanics, and less on the philosophical underpinnings, of the

The part about Krugman sounds a bit like, "He got his Nobel prize in quantum theory, why should I care what he thinks about relativistic physics, call me when he gets a Nobel in that field".

I have no problem with either of those criticisms, but I think it's clear that what you wrote earlier doesn't resemble what you have just written.

It was the extended version, which should have been confined to DVD.

I see your point, but my problem isn't the attempt towards more whimsical. I support that. The Hobbit should have been more whimsical. But an extended chase scene with a rabbit drawn sled. That a complete non-entity from the books was pushed into such a large role and that it was done by making him so very annoying.

I never claimed otherwise. But that message wasn't staking out moral superiority, it was staking out intellectual superiority. It also wasn't staking it out versus "extremist" positions, unless leaning now means extremist,

It's also great when centrists can descend from their lofty heights to denigrate "both sides" before climbing back up Mount Superior.

My only question is where is Ratagast? If he doesn't make an extended appearance (preferably with bird shit covering his entire head this time) this movie can only be a failure. After all, who doesn't want extended scenes of annoying characters doing shit in a Jar Jaresque manner? Especially characters who were

Not to defend the Dark Knight Rises, but the destruction of the football stadium wasn't "scored" by the boy singing the national anthem. It happened during the opening kick off which, traditionally, takes place after the singing of the national anthem.

The pinnacle of her career will always be, at least to me, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. It's all been downhill since that.

Yeah, I was just being a jerk. There definitely is that type who hate anything new in their beloved franchise. But speaking for the hardcore fans I'd say that most of the time change is fine if it's done well. Abrams just took Star Trek, jettisoned a great deal of what made it Star Trek (as opposed to "The

I actually burst out laughing in the theater. Luckily the scene was loud so it didn't disturb others.

My favorite part was when Kirk was like in the reactor chamber dead, and then Spock was like on the outside and seeing his friend lying on the floor of the radiation filled chamber and then Spock's face gets all scrunchy and he screams "KHAAAAN!".
