I like seeing a vulnerable Rick. It's usually some of the nicest moments of the show and hilarious how much he hates it.

The breakdown of sentient Morty was incredible.
Mortys problem with Jerry is that he didn't put up a fight for the things he wants and loves. He is too much of a pushover and let this divorce happen without putting his heart and soul out there. This is also why Beth doesn't respect him much at all and fell out of love with him. A more confident and passionate Jerry…
Franks guilt burps had to be my favorite moment of the whole show.
Easily my favorite episode of the season so far. I really enjoyed the previous 2 episodes, but never laughed out loud as hard as I did during the scenes with the gang intervening in the show, within the show, in this episode.
Wow, very differing opinions here about this episode. I would put it in the top 3 of the season so far. I really thought it picked up Steam here.
Fair enough, I probably did fixate a bit too much on the negatives to see you did actually enjoy it. I just thought it was a great callback, because I've been reading everything I can about the new season and most interviewers seem to ask them about the Giant Douche/Turd Sandwich stuff hoping to get some topical…
I always felt they were pretty topical, even from the beginning (Jesus vs. Frosty/Santa or the Spirit of Christmas is pretty evident of their style from the start).
I really felt the reviewer was not in the right mindset to review new South Park. Seemed that they took a bit too much of it seriously in the search for meaning and point.
Some of the biggest TV shows of the past 10 years have been serialized drama's and many have had hit or miss shows on an individual basis because of the setup to something bigger.
You are reading way too much into the "Stand up or your an asshole" statement. I think it's just South Park using extremes from both sides of the argument to prove a point. Either what he did was brave or he is the worst thing to happen to America, depending on who you ask.
It certainly is.
That's an oddly strict opinion for someone named Bender Bukowski. Both of whom love their whores.
It goes all the way back to the pilot, Mac meets Carmen in the bar while trying to find a girl for Charlie (because he has cancer) he starts to get attracted to her, but then is told she is a guy, he sees the "dick in those pants" and goes to tell her off for "lying to him". It quickly turns into heavy flirting, he…
Kudos for referencing Shasta McNasty. I don't think I've heard of OR thought of that show since the early 2000's.
His manipulative ways have gone all the way back to the first season. They also make references to his love of borderline underage girls back then as well.
I thought Dee breaking the buzzer fit with her character. In "The Gang Gets Invincible" she absolutely destroys a field kick because of her (Dennis described) "stork like legs that act like pendulums, and on the bottom of those pendulums? feet like wrecking balls"
My personal favorite Dee threat is “Don't make me do it, Cricket. I will slice you in half!” from "Storm of the Century" and is in my top 3 Dee moments ever.
"I will STRIKE you down"
