All the Nation's Airports is the one Archers release I can't get into. But I'm with you on the greatness of Vs. The Greatest of All-Time. Near perfect EP.

Totally agree. NIN's version is whining, almost bragging. Cash's version is an apology, or a warning come to late.

Porno was terrible. Welsh also seemed to realize the film is better than his book, and he wrote a sequel to the film and not his own book. And it goes off the rails pretty early.

300 is a goo-looking film and most of the problems with the narrative and characters are from the source material. It's probably the one movie of Zach Snyder's I don't hate, as I could just enjoy his visual style and blame everything else on Frank Miller.

And his dad was a locally famous children's TV personality, Mr. Peppermint. This disturbs me greatly, in the best possible way.

After everyone said something nice, I saw Albini's name in bold and knew what was coming. He didn't disappoint.

Yeah, I think there's a long section to remind all of us that Henry Rollins was a tremendous asshole, followed immediately by a section that confirms that Ginn was an even BIGGER asshole. It's like you needed Rollins in the picture to get a sense of scale.

While I don't think Iron Man 3 works, it is a pretty gutsy picture for Marvel when you stop to think about it. It's the story of a superhero dealing with PTSD, and then partly rejects being a superhero at all, spending most of the movie as his normal alter ego.

Wow, that was a really good and well-reasoned comment. I never thought of the MCU as recreating the studio system, but that's a pretty astute point.

As a general rule of thumb, if you are on the opposite side of Captain America, you are on the wrong side.

They had a fight. Triangle won.

I love that line because it calls back to First Avenger, and explicitly connects Tony Stark to the bullies who beat up scrawny Steve. Because Tony Stark is a jerk who always has bad ideas.

Man, do I love Moon. Know what's better than Sam Rockwell? TWO Sam Rockwells.

Sam Rockwell's performance is so great, it overshadows a great performance by Christopher Walken. Which takes some doing. I love Seven Psychopaths, particularly the ending that Rockwell writes for it. In Bruges is a better movie, but that is a pretty high standard.

I'm sadly familiar with all of the Housewives locations because the Posette is a huge fan. And you're completely right. Atlanta is definitely the one that makes me the least stabby.

I'm an Alexander Hamilton hipster. I haven't seen the musical, but I read the Chernow book and got it the day it came out. I feel your pain. It's best to just let it go and let people like thing that they like in the way they like…

I don't mind Slate as there is some value to the idea of contrarianism, forcing readers to look at old issues in new ways. The problem is when its so forced and clickbaity that you get the feeling not even the author believes the thesis.

I will not stand for erasing Princess and the Frog out of the Disney canon. It didn't do huge business (for a Disney movie, anyway), but it was the movie in which Disney stepped up their quality. The run starts with Princess and the Frog, not Tangled, which came after.

I like the experience of vinyl. I've got two kids, a wife, and a dog, plus my regular sell-out job during the day which I'm sure would outrage 20-year-old me. And sometimes, I like going into my living room, pouring myself an adult beverage, and put a full record on. I stop my life, and just pay attention to this one

Also, I can burn the CD to my hard drive so I have a copy of it on my portable digital media player as well. CD's are still the best. I want to control my library, and I hate having to pay my ISP to stream music. If I already own a copy, I should have unlimited plays for free. Controlling my content library is a big
