I do hate the phrase "raping our childhood." I like to believe that I had a pretty great childhood and would like other generations to have a great childhoods as well. Now, I think that everyone would benefit from original films and TV shows. There's no need to remake a (pretty terrible) Transformers cartoon into an

Man, did I love Suburbia and Repo Man. Those two movies introduced young me to punk rock, so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Psycho is an obvious comparison because Hitchcock killed off his big star (Janet Leigh) in the first act. Here, Craven ups the ante and kills the star in the first scene. I love everything about this movie.

I grew up on Wes Craven's movies. This is a celebrity death that has really affected me. He gave me so many great memories and I feel like I grew up as Freddy grew up. Hell, he sort of introduced me to meta, as New Nightmare came out when I was in high school.

As a 40 year old from the DC suburbs, I whole-heartedly second this. Fugazi really shaped my attitudes on life. Don't like the culture? Go make your own. Define success how you want.

The Descent is truly amazing. It's terrifying even before the monsters show up. Glad it was on the list, and I was hoping for it to be #1.

Those people are wrong. It has Zoe Bell riding the hood of a speeding car. Plus it has Rosario Dawson being awesome and Kurt Russell playing a terrific villain. Death Proof is great fun.

Kurt Russell needs to be in more Tarantino movies. That is all.

Hearing that they are touring again gave me a Wargasm.

I was a huge fan of their first album and we played it to death in my dorm room. I bought Soup the day it came out, and loved it, too, despite it's tonal shift. It's hard to believe the same band put out both of those records, but both are fantastic.

Chick Fil A for me. It must be that the bigotry cooked into their chicken really disagrees with my intestines. It's a shame, because I rather liked their breakfast sandwich, but I just can't endure the aftermath.

Hey, she's still got all that Dog with a Blog cash.

The LP has some messed up sequences, which adds to the concept. The second disc has the second part of Act II and Act IV, while the third disc has Act III. Also, the middle record is to be played at 45 speed. For a record about metal health, the bizarre sequencing of the record helps get you in the band's world.

That's what I like about this film. It puts you in a position at which you find yourself sympathizing with a child rapist/murderer. I had to remind myself at certain points how terrible of a person he was to make myself… well, not okay with, but at least accept the punishment meted out.

Totally agree about that. I hate things being "boy" or "girl". I want my kids to like what they like, regardless of their gender. My daughter loves dinosaurs because… well, dinosaurs are awesome. I'd hate for her to think they are only for boys.

It's not that I hate streaming, it's that the industry uses all the streaming services as an excuse to make it harder and harder to have your own local library. I don't want to use a network and rely on connectivity if I don't have to. I have my own curated library of 20,000 songs and I'm perfectly happy plugging that

My three year old loves all things pink, princesses, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I just roll with it and as long as it is age appropriate, she likes what she likes.

I think people understand your argument, they just don't all agree with it. I felt the scene in which Scott says he's expendable was organic and also the "big moment" in Scott and Hope's relationship. Scott is an employee, essentially. I didn't feel like this diminished Hope at all. Really, it was all taken care of in

I only regret that I have but one rec to give this comment.

Speedball even turns up in Alias for a good mocking for being generally worthless.
