What I find interesting about this episode are the questions it raised. The plot is obviously inspired by the recent The North Korean hacking incident. When it came to the real life case, we side with the people who made The Interview. But in this episode, we were given a scenario far more complex; Unlike the movie,

I know Boyle and Vivian's breakup is to be expected, but I still feel
the execution is far too rushed. We hardly saw any one instance of their
arguments. Okay, maybe one or two — if you count the phone

Could the part where Boyle getting shot on the butt be a parody to a cop show/ Law and Order trope, the one with hitting the audience with a tragic death just after they are told that the bad guy has been caught and the case has been solved? Because that trope immediately came into mind, when Diaz said "Boyle's down"
