It's certainly worth a rewatch then, for sure. It's probably his least enjoyable film, but Laura Dern is so great in it. She works hard in that one and it's worthwhile at least because of her; also the cinematography is great and the ending pays off nicely.

That's fantastic. Certainly check out his other stuff. Mulholland Dr and Eraserhead may appeal to you if you're into this season.
