And that is completely insane. She is so talented and so lovely, if she were white a million prestige directors would have tried to make her their muse the second she stepped off the podium. I mean jesus Margot Robbie hasn't won a single thing and can't hold a candle to Lupita in terms of acting chops but people can't

Well unfortunately that's how actors keep their profile and their pay check up theses days. You become a serious actor doing great contemporary drama, you become a movie star doing popcorn fluff and in today's film industry you need to maintain both, which is why you see so many Oscar winners jumping into big dumb

This is quite possibly one of the most awesome casts assembled, but I reserve the right to still be really angry that Lupita is not the starring lead in a franchise yet, which is kind of crazy given how an Oscar win for a woman so beautiful in such a star-making, breakout role all but guarantees an instant leading

Ooof, that IS a sexy goat right there. I would have signed on that dotted line no questions asked too. Yes Satan, I would like to live deliciously, now you ask. Goodness gracious.

She is at peak glorious Swinton in that movie. Finger kissingly great performance.

You understand the definition of "selling" right?

I hear they thought Rowan would be the breakout character, so they made a ton of toys for him. All left on the shelves alas.

We're definitely stuck in the shit timeline.

I guess this coincides with Sony's announcement that there definitely will be a sequel! I'm excited! I really liked the reboot a lot and it did feel like it was positioned for franchise possibility, so this is good news all round.
I'm glad there won't have to be a #wheresghostbusters campaign and little kids will get

Oh. I see why those two fields exist now. Yeah, that actually managed to be more sexist than what I was thinking.

I believe Paul Feig described her as "just this big Pansexual beast that everyone instantly falls in love with". I'm inclined to agree.

Seriously.

I like that there's a section for 'female celebrity' and 'slightly older female celebrity' and just 'male celebrity'. Grossly accurate with the gendered age qualifier there.

Ha ha oh I get it. The joke here is that that hashtag sounds vaguely feminist and feminist is for tumblr and who is on tumblr a lot, why its teen girls who all speak funny! Good jokes

I'm a gay man but I think Kate McKinnon's weirdo hotness in that movie was so palpable it may have given me a lesbian awakening.

I'm not quite sure why you brought this issue (or your thinking it might be an issue in a movie you've yet to see) to me. I'm probably the least qualified person to discuss this with you and nothing you've said affects or changes anything about my original comment.

I don't watch much SNL but Sasheer really killed it on that Back Home Ballers song they did.

Anyway, someone much more qualified than I, being both black and a woman, Chaz Ebert, just posted her review of the movie, so it might be more interesting/reassuring to you to see what she thought: http://www.rogerebert.com/c…

She's a Ghostbuster with a passion for history and architecture.

I was doing a write up of Ghostbusters, so I spent a couple of hours watching her and the rest of the cast's SNL sketches on YouTube as well as some pre-release interviews. I've also been following her on Twitter since the casting was announced. It's part of my job to know about actor related such and such and she
