That's funny because the accepted norm is that comedians, or at least ex-stand ups, make good dramatic actors because they have great timing.

There would be no such thing as a "pick up community" if getting to the sex bit wasn't a massively problematic sequence of events for a large number of people.
Also why hour 5 or 6 into really good LSD inevitably raises the "this has been going way too long, is this ever going to end?"
Except, I think by malicious design, those from IKEA. Jävla Ikea!
I'm sorry for your childhood trauma, but are you the first people in the world to have moved from England to Australia and ended up with _less_ space than before?
I guess the window is usually quite small, but are there many/any games presented that are trying to be Kickstarter funded? I feel like there is so much activity in that space, producing some amazing material, and yet it's so ephemeral, not even the joy of going to the gaming store and feeling the heft of the box.
I know you probably weren't blazed at the time, but that's the only way I can envision this scenario.
That's the spin-off show right there. Make it happen!
I'm "reading" 'The Bone Clocks' by which I mean it waits patiently on my night stand while I do little else but play 'Witcher 3'.
I didn't know "Toast on Toast" was a thing. I think this is the first time in my life I'm overjoyed to have read the comments. I'm not usually a fan of audiobooks, but with Matt Berry it's not even a choice, is it?
Very well reasoned argument right up until the point you see the blokes running the cereal-only cafe in London and require a term to describe them and can only vacillate between "hipster" and "twat".
So leaving aside the fact that the dude with the beard sounds uncannily like Steve Buscemi (I hope he's capitali$$$ing on that somehow) there's maybe a gem in there, but on the whole, as you say, painfully non-self-aware. It seems as though Landis doesn't want to make "art", but rather have a massive opening weekend…
I tried to watch that video, but 30 seconds of it was more cringe than The Office (both version), Alan Partridge, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the memory of throwing up on adult guests at a friends 21st combined.
Yes, if only because his "Death and Return of Superman" pitch is pretty good.
I'm happy to champion small projects to all and sundry. I've shown more people "Wrestling isn't Wrestling" than I've shown them pictures of my kids (don't have kids, move on). I'm as sick of remakes, sequels, adaptations as the next guy (you know I am, John, you more than anyone), but the material has to support that…
I'm happy to write this off as "can't beat 'em, join 'em, where's my pile of money?"
He really had me when he was going on about the little guy vs the Blockbusters. The original story vs the adaptation, the remake, the sequel. All that shit sings deep into my core as a creator and a consumer and a fucking human being on this planet.
Please don't. We pay well above minimum wage and want to encourage outstanding service across the board rather than a form a direct correlation between obsequiousness and remuneration.
I really want to like Max Landis' stuff, but it's just not very good.
Oh no, your snark and "wit" are deafening even through these less than adequate channels.
