Most people* live in a bubble of their own making. I'm genuinely shocked (in a "oh yeah, these fucking people exist" way) when I encounter homophobes, seriously religious people or people who haven't heard of Squarepusher, because those are not my friends, in the same way other people must react when they encounter

With his real last name he would have gone into porn.

Isn't that a Nine Inch Nails song? I'm confused and my brain hurts. Better use the healing power of my crystal skull to right myself.

He's a huge piece of shit, but that attempted murder story ends with him and his personal assistant (who was also his kick boxing coach) escaping from gaol in Macau and hopping a jetfoil to Hong Kong.

What are we, in fucking slow motion?!

Someone should write a script about a very fine actor who following his wife's death takes on roles in increasingly superficial action films because he can't bear to reach inside himself to lend any other role the emotional heft required until a a script reaches him that allows him to work through his grief and emerge

There are two now: Shoreditch and Camden. Twats.

"I'm deeply sorry that… excuse me for a moment, I just realised I'm worth millions and millions of dollars… so as I was saying, fuck all'y'all, I'm off to do some drugs. Also, I totally killed someone and got away with it."

It sounds like their cinematographer, Sean Price Williams, was trying to confess some really dark shit and Alex Ross Perry missed the subtext.

I've often thought the same thing about Bond. Shame that Shah Rukh Khan is getting on now.

Surely the third rung? Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving, Nicole Kidman and Russ the Conqueror are the top rung.

Neither was "Kill Bill" and yet…

Best recent industrial disk I've heard is 3TEETH's eponymous debut. I can hear influences from FLA, SPuppy, Ministry, but mixed into something that sounds modern and not dated like a lot of material that channels those sounds.

Funnily enough my mum bought me "Live After Death" as a reward for doing something or other. Loved it and discovered HP Lovecraft due to the quote on the cover, so double plus good.

The Fixed EP has a couple of Thirlwell remixes on it so Reznor being a fan is a pretty safe bet.
