I loved "Resolution" and was really excited about "Spring". Now that I've seen it, I can say I liked it, but the ending doesn't sit right for exactly the reasons outlined in the review and prevents me from calling the movie great. I understand why it ended the way it did, but, without spoilers, I think it should have

To be fair there was "a man" and "a woman" and "a gun" and uhhh… "a couch". I think.

That this seems like utter shit is a shame because a) the lead actor notwithstanding, it's got a great cast, and b) the book it's based upon, Jean-Patrick Manchette's "The Prone Gunman" is a fantastic piece of French noir and I would encourage people to seek it out.

I'm terrible with names and thought this was going to be another article about the "American Sniper" bloke, but with a very novel take on the subject.

You are a big posh sod with plums in your mouth, and the plums have mutated and they have got beaks. You make pigs smoke. You feed beef burgers to swans. You have big sheds, but nobody's allowed in. And in these sheds you have 20ft high chickens, and these chickens are scared because the don't know why they're so big,

I'm not in the UK at the moment, which makes it a wee bit hard to attend, but I was there 2006-2012, so…

No, I wasn't, but I did choose them from the roster. I just think if you're talking a spectrum, Architect and Juno Reactor are further apart sonically than Juno and VNV.

Upvoted for Ellen Allien, but surely she's not techno but rather an example of (Berlin) electro if ever there was one?

I'd mention Haujobb/Architect before VNV if talking about a range of electronic music.

In some European cultures there's a difference between going to dinner and being invited to dinner.

I'm not being snarky, but can you think of an example of something a boy would want to be that a man has not already been? Can you do the same for girls?

Could not upvote PG enough.

I have to disagree, only because I thought "Bullhead" was fantastic and "The Drop" disappointing. Schoenaerts was suitably intense, but I thought the movie was predictable and a bit ho hum.

You can't talk about Joe Gilgun's range and not mention "This is England". Both the movie and TV series are excellent. Heavy viewing, but excellent.

The whole film is worth it just for this line reading.

This map is an invaluable resource in those conversations.

You're right, that is cool.

Certainly the best Hellblazer standalone and maybe the best issue overall.

This is an excellent article about the film and the complete debacle the production turned out to be.

Surely that role will be filled by Danny Dyer.
