I really disagree with the While You Were Sleeping characterization. She saved the dude's life. That's the only reason she was at the hospital. A nurse hears her uttering to herself that she was going to marry him (a silly fantasy she isn't repeating to anyone else) and the nurse tells people she's his fiance. It

I rewatched the show after season 3 and at the end of season 1 when Xan is supposed to go back to Connecticut she goes on about how would Kimmy like it if someone took her away from her home when she was a teenager. To get her to do what she wants.

I was really happy to see them.

I didn't mind his behavior toward Kimmy.

A fresh out of Gitmo Duke Snyder would actually fit in with this group of people.

Totally. And I think we aren't getting the breakthroughs because she is a more whole person.

It's not really all gone though. Kimmy is quick to dismiss him when he warns her about Clara in the very next episode and when he tells her his past choir story (which isn't really that bad he was a kid who wanted to prove he was a better singer than some girl) she just asks if he was always selfish and only cared

Ah, I'm sorry. I thought you were going more down the line that the media is being mean to poor white people churches.

I do like that Kimmy is on a pretty consistent arc of growing to be a fully developed adult human. Kimmy learned in therapy that it was OK to be angry sometimes and to express it. So, we see her through out this season confronting people when she's angry. She does it when she goes off on Titus for being a bad guy. And

Titus took her to a church similar to the one he grew up in, which makes sense. And they live in a minority majority area (although aren't always the best at showing it.) In that neighborhood the only church with a large white population would likely be Catholic. And then there couldn't be the testimonial scene

"I thought at some point they might indicate her Mom secretly had an affair with a white guy."

It was also kind of a cool reply of her earlier joke scene "you people" gasp! /"really won me over." awwww

"Also, the "Face/Off" has two levels joke is 30 Rock joke too."

Yes, he got it from Jacquelyn's when he was throwing up in there after eating a whole raw turkey.

She can't hide who she is if her name's on the building.

I mostly agree but ultimately the point isnt kids today are the worst. It's kids today are kids and their "nonsense" is no different from any generation's.

Agreed. I'm no fan of the storyline by any stretch. But, at this point, it would just be an obvious attempt to backtrack. It won't help.

Joan has said just as many hurtful things about Bette frome day one. And she actively hurt her when shooting scenes (Bette had a bad back and Joan weighed herself down.)

I was so confused by her casting when I heard about it. I didn't think she looked anything like her. But she's perfect! I think she nails the aura of the original more than any of them.
