Uber saved my ass when IL unemployment fucked me over as I was waiting on my background and medical to be cleared for a federal job. (They claimed I wasn't looking for work when I was in limbo) I would have lost my car and credit score without them.

People do realize that if your uber driver is creepy or acts inappropriately in any way you can (and should) give them a horrible rating and, if severe enough, report them. Right?

I'm 100% ok with that if we finally get RDR on PC.

My bookie is currently trying to get me the odds on Vera Rubin for physics. It's a bit out of his wheelhouse.

I pay gladly. I hate ads, it has 90% of the music I'm looking for, and one can split a family plan between 4 people. No regrets besides the occasional nostalgia for whipping the llama's ass.

    "Crash"

Well said. My parents watch fox news regularly and occasionally I hear bursts of rationality between the insane nonsense while spending time with them. Gutfeld is usually the guy speaking when I'm not disgusted.

The header image of Dazed and Confused is perfect. That's my favorite summer movie.

    2 Ash 2 Furious

He is a bit too much of a vitriolic ass for me to enjoy watching him like Bill Burr and Jim Jefferies, but he has his moments.

As a craft beer drinker, please end pseudo-prohibition. Your laws are almost as bad as Utah's and don't even make sense. What state pushes people towards bars in an attempt to reduce drunk driving?

I'm curious what benefit I have gotten in your mind. I've been felt up by men and women who have had power over me. I'm not saying it isn't more common for women, but it isn't exclusive.

Wet hop season is around the corner and I'm stuck in Oklahoma for work training until November…

You misunderstood. I was saying that we are all objectified. We may not be sexualized, but, given human nature, we are all treated as objects rather than full people outside of a social circle.

Glad you said that. We can diverge on the topic. I'm trying to step back and see a broader perspective. I think we all do things that we are uncomfortable, and perhaps unhappy, with for a greater goal. If Ms. Robbie can use her sexuality to get to a place where she can tell stories that she cares about, I am in favor

I wasn't going in modeling or acting, but I have a friend who was a model as a teen and he quit because people were creeping him out.

Why shouldn't she have to play the game? Everyone has to pay their dues (except for certain fortunate people who are usually the beneficiaries of nepotism) and work whatever system they are in.

In my experience every industry makes you wade through a sea of shit in its own way. Very few people luck their way into a good career without having to go through said sea of shit.

They are a mere Google search away from plenty of results over a swath of years. I still remember seeing Calender Girls with my mom…

Great point. A couple years back I realized that Helen Mirran was naked and sexualized in many movies in the 70s, including Caligula. She used her sexuality to her advantage, now she is Dame Helen Mirran and can act in about whatever she wants because everyone recognises her talent years after that target demographic
