I wasn't upset. Just poking fun back at it for sounding like something a PC bro would say earnestly.

Ah, the modern internet. Where poking fun of one's self for assuming that someone named Jody was a woman quickly turns into a reminder to put on your hair shirt for being a straight male without any reference or even implication to being either in the initial post. Thanks for checking my privilege!
Well this is awkward… I always thought Jody Hill was one of the funniest women in film and that picture just disillusioned me.
That video game by Rockstar is the best brawler I've ever played. An absolute gem that I wish was on pc so I could replay it easily.
"Whether artists should ever “improve” work they presented as complete many years earlier is a contentious subject—see, for example, The People Vs. George Lucas—"
It isn't a question of quantifying how bad things are. It's a question of poor history. The north didn't fight to free slaves and most northerners didn't care about slavery. In fact many northern states created laws banning negro immigration after the war because they didn't want black people in their society at all.…
This isn't a Lost Cause movie any more than Hell on Wheels is a Lost Cause show. Eastwood just gets that in a war there is brutality on both sides.
That was really clever and funny to me. The idea that the traditional beasts of Scandinavia would be hostile to Christians for invading their lands. It reminds me of the anti-Christian feelings of their metal community.
If this is true then a heart attack while having great sex is truly the way to go.
I suppose I'm happy for Duncan Jones… I never cared for Blizzard games or cgi spectacles. But I love Moon, really like Source Code, and would really enjoy a success from this allowing him to do a passion project that he couldn't budget off his prior work. Fingers crossed that happens rather than him getting sucked…
This weekend is the Ammunation film festival with three screenings of the documentary Red Dawn!
Followed closely by "It was not a significant bullet. I am not afraid."
Not sure if sarcasm or genuine appreciation for my take on superhero burnout and analysis of why X3 has a higher RT rating…
Just have to say that X3 getting better reviews than Apocalypse isn't surprising to me. It was before the superhero fatigue really set in.
I'm also fond of Soldier, but I'd probably give a video of Kurt Russell having a cup of coffee in the morning a favorable review…
I for one religiously follow the career of Paul W.S. Anderson. You can tell he's top notch because he has 2 middle initials.
I've been waiting for an excuse to say I think Anansi Boys is better than American Gods on this website.
If only your name was The Thin White Dude
"Say hello and goodbye to every major Tarantino character simultaneously"
That's a great point. I had seen a fair number of films influenced by Halloween before I ever got a chance to see it. It really sapped a lot of the effect having seen so many people use Carpenter's tricks.
