That's funny. I always felt it was to Lee's credit that he created Sal as a gruff but fundamentally likable person, even as he acknowledged and condemned Sal's latent racism.
Indeed, rather than having "arguably" made five or so good movies, he's INARGUABLY made five or six or seven great movies. (I'd put Gran Torino on the list above).

Oh my. The author seems to be under the impression that The Tea Party or I Mother Earth were good bands, rather than Canada's mid-90s alt-rock mediocrities (i.e., our versions of Bush, Silverchair, etc)
Anyone who thinks the American remakes of these were equivalent, quality-wise, knows not of what they speak.
