I think he's doing Noah a favor. Substantial time has passed since that fight and the court scene, my guess is the writers want you to think Max is doing it to get back at Noah for calling him invisible. Noah is too emotional to watch something like that happen with such a nonchalant reaction unless he expected it.

Fantastic show. Scotty could very well be Gabriel's father - it would explain a lot. I don't think we should count Oscar out, he is tied into this much more than we know - another possible father, maybe?
