Anyone wondering if that deal is why Hillary didn't leave Bill? Or is there no "wondering" about it?

I completely agree re: the dynamic between Juliette and her mom. The blocking during the scene at the kitchen table really threw me—the counselor should have been sitting between the two, not next to the mom. Made it too obviously two-against-one. And Juliette isn't wrong here.

I've gotten the impression that actually NO ONE thought he would make a great leader, they simply thought he would fit the American vision of "great leader." Both Mellie and Cyrus (especially Cyrus, as he said in that fantastic face-off with James) see Fitz as a prop. They both want to run the country, they know they

She was fine as Ainsley Hayes on the West Wing, but her character was also written pretty badly. ("They are patriots. And I'm their lawyer." Gross.)

Pretty much the only thing I buy from that whole episode is that a bunch of young staffers drafted the bill. That's standard. But there's no way they draft the entire thing without first getting feedback on each section from the relevant stakeholders. You negotiate with labor BEFORE you release the draft to the

My roommate and I decided we don't like the asides because it seems the show expects the viewers to be both smart and stupid. Smart: not explaining what BRAC and the D-Trip are; stupid: having him tell us during the funeral that he didn't actually care too much about his father. Either explain everything to us or

Isn't the far more likely scenario that in which Fanny has refused to pay taxes for whatever reason for the past few years and the land gets taken out from under all of them? Although probably Hubbell took care of all that, so she and Michelle have a few more years to screw things up.

I agree with Todd that it was a dick move. Fake Tebow didn't have to agree to marry her in the first place. It's never like we were shown any signs the relationship was working; he was just as wrong for her as she was for him.

Chuck did force himself on Serena in the pilot (which I admit to rewatching last night to see if "Dan is Gossip Girl" makes any sense). Then again he also forced himself on Jenny and they did end up having sex. So maybe he just wasn't persistent enough. (Gross.)

How did you not like Georgina and Jack? That may be the most perfect couple in the history of the show!

The short answer is that "obviously" (heavy sarcasm here) women can't rape men, or alternatively, any red-blooded man would consent to sex with Faith.

Come to think of it, that's also sort of the way Kalinda operates on The Good Wife. Except for the whole "getting results" part.

Ahhh, ok, thanks for clearing that up. I guess of all the implausible things these characters have done, Nate sleeping his way into a job is pretty low on the rung.

I would LOVE to know what Presidents and Vice Presidents have concealed over the last 220+ years, from little quirks up to the big stuff, or be able to go back in time and figure out what mental illnesses each of them had, if any.

I watched seasons 1 and 2 obsessively, got fed up with the show in season 3, and haven't watched since, but figured I'd tune it for the last season to see where they all ended up. Question for anyone who's watched the whole thing—was there a time jump? Or are we pretending the characters are only 20-21? Can someone
