    She does live in a strongly misogynistic culture, and yet at the same time she is quite a horrible person. You can certainly make the argument that her nasty character is based on her generally being treated as inferior to (at least some) men throughout her life. And you can specifically point to her father forcing

    Cersei was never a hurt little girl. She was a child of enormous privilege. That comment makes little sense coming from her.
