Fair point. What I meant was that Adventure Time's definitely got a hilariously uncaring streak to it - Jake's cavalier attitude to killing things, Peebles' decidedly unmoral science experiments, the notoriously abrupt episode endings.

Seconded; there's definitely shades of Adventure Time, but while AT's quite cynical and nonchalant, Steven Universe is really earnest and joyful. Which just adds to how adorable the show is!
Also, I'd definitely read week-by-week coverage of this show, it's certainly warranted it so far.
