jesus wept.
Important to say: this isn't on the veterans. I don't have an issue with them - this is all on Jnr. and anyone who lets him off with this bs.
damn right. His veterans portrait book is a disgrace and anyone who doesn't think so hasn't thought hard enough.
"miserable making millions doing something that did not fulfill them."
Hopkins is amazing isn't he? I actually think the accident is well dodgy but he's so compelling…
it had some great unexpected moments - the dude accidentally shooting himself was brilliant. Did not see that coming…
Yah, he's savvy, but that's not necessarily smart, and certainly not the sort of smart that makes you a good writer. His greatest talent is his gift for self-promotion, and his gift for promoting his projects in the most obvious way. His second-greatest gift is his ability to mash together and/or extrapolate existing…
is "touching Yabba" a euphemism that I'm not getting?
Roseanne - the actor - was ok but the supporting cast for this show was A-list. Don't know that John Goodman has been better.
has to be the benchmark for crap final episodes.
nothing shamefully about the Ryan Adams cover album, it's damn good.
"His Ultimates is the dumb kind of satire…"
Nah, it was just dumb. He's too stupid for satire - it's was another of his remakes of a Grant Morrison book (a better, smarter book that actually had some satire.) It WAS a lot of fun, though, but it made me uncomfortable for the same reasons too.
But the best thing about it…
The Raptors could barely get past the Bucks in the first round, can't see them building even a crude bridge.
he plays his classic rock a bit too loud, though.
why do you think it was sexist and racist?
I really enjoyed it. Haven't read the book but I thought the movie was quite a few notches above a regular summer action blockbuster. And it was nice to see one of those movies end with a quiet, tense scene instead of a huge explosion and/or a beam of light exploding into the sky.
check out Capaldis IMDB credit for the movie.
that scene where she gets shagged in the basement* probably put off a few voters.
I actually think the cinematographer made a big difference - the shallow depth-of-field when they used it on Hopkins made it creepy AF.
It drove me mad in Philadelphia - he used it way too much.
