Dr. No is ok, From Russia With Love is good (though not very like a "Bond movie") but they really didn't hit their stride (and hit on the formula) until Goldfinger. So, the third one was the best, and probably the best of the entire series. Close enough?

Upvoted for In The Mood For Love and Out of Sight. Great performances and chemistry with the actors in both, but also gorgeous cinematography and soundtracks in both movies too. Holmes music for the "time out" scene…
