They could have trimmed some stuff from the first half because the story takes forever to pick up. But really, this is a jrpg and they're pretty much designed to be time sinks. My first play through took 105 hours and I didn't come anywhere near completing the compendium.

You're really not missing anything by skipping ahead, I'd just read the episode summaries and go straight to last 2 episodes.

For 3 bucks? No question. And you don't need much of a rig to run it.

This game is underrated I think, even if the combat does get a bit repetitive it's fun, atmospheric and it still looks great today.

I just beat Nier Automata (all main endings) and it was a disappointment, loved the setting/story but the shitty fetch quests, shallow combat, overall tedious gameplay and some very misguided design decisions ruined it for me. Hopefully Prey is better, I'll find out this weekend.

The tracks sound even better with the monsters yelling on it, I know I miss it whenever I listen to the OST.
