As much as I like the idea of the anthology series, I can't say that any have lived up to the potential so far. Not True Detective, not Fargo, Not AHS… Thing is that most great shows' first seasons actually end up being their weakest. It takes a while to find that groove. Maybe once we get an anthology series that

" It missed the mark in the tone, characterization, how it handled the last act, it basically removed Clark Kent as a character, etc."

    Pretty sure it was CBB.

SHUTTER ISLAND. It's not my favorite Scorsese but it's right up there. There are few people who can lend the feeling of so much depth and poignancy to what is essentially a trashy horror film.

Hot dog was amazing. I could definitely see him doing L Ron Hubbard and Gil and Golly episodes.

If anything, it made me contemplate the beauty of mortality.

I feel much the same way about Noah's stand-up, it's chuckle-worthy but never transcendent. One thing that did give me hope though, was his episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. It revealed a person who, when he's just being himself, can actually be quite charming and thoughtful.

    "better… than… It Follows"

As long as it doesn't contradict my serious argument that since he's big and red Philip Seymour Hoffman is, in fact, playing a candy cane.

"Ok Pol Pot, there's good news and bad news. The good news is you've been resurrected from your 20 year slumber. Bad news is you're now a writer of comic books. I recommend She Hulk."

Ugh, thanks for reminding me about Utopia. Sadface.

Exactly. By the looks of it, it's Sigourney Weaver who thinks her shit doesn't stink. But it does. Hear that Sigourney Weaver? Your shit stinks!

The casting is so spot on that the Variety articles mistakes the 90210 cast picture for the Melrose Place one.

I fucking hate recent Sandler, but considering the lacklustre performances of PDL, Funny People and Spanglish, I'm pretty sure what he took away was the public sending him a bigass message going "nah, we prefer when Adam Sandler falls down and does stupid accents, thank you very much!"

I like that Adam Sandler is apparently less believable as a nerd than Kevin James is as the fucking president.

My god, the HD re-release of Seabiscuit is going to look terrible.

My issue is that Howard admitted she was asked to take the heels off but wanted to keep them on and had a decent reason to do so. Instead of people going "ok never mind, then" they started insisting that it nonetheless remains sexist.

It was her idea, but when you think about it, letting Howard do what she wanted is pretty damn sexist.

I hate kids, and I'm a bag of laughs. Suck it.

It's not my list, but I'm sill pretty amazed that both Bone and Maus are missing.
