In retrospect definitely a missed opportunity with Joan's bio-dad. Probably should have went with a less meaty crime of the week in the first place, since this was clearly a major advancement for the ongoing Moreland arc
.
The honey bit was a sticking point for me too, as if the script just said 'Holmes does something

Damn if that's not one of those songs you can't help but, if not sing along, at least lip sync to.

The lion's share of this looks predictably awful, but that Jonny Quest is on point.

Well I wasn't really looking at like 'ooo she's spilling the beans' (though oddly the way the scene is shot implies Sousa makes some inferences here) but that it was just a petty and snide remark. She understandably lost her temper and Peggy knows she's better than that. At least that's how it appeared to me that

Ages ago I saw John Williams conduct a medley of his Hollywood hits. The main segment was Harry Potter (the series was at peak phenomenon at the time) but of course he did Star Wars and Raiders too. The underrated standout was the theme from Hook.

Well it was well established in Season 1, not so much in the movies. There's an episode where Peggy and Jarvis investigate several of Stark's paramours so Peggy can check their wrists, which she is able to do bc every single one of them slaps poor Jarvis. And there's a running gag when Howard is hiding out at Peggy's

Half the article tut-tutting that a show with a female lead and presenting an interracial relationship (in the goddamn forties no less) isn't being progressive enough, yet you completely ignore the pivotal revelation that Jarvis is 1/16th Turkish!

A Clyde pseudo-appearance, a call-back to Mycroft, and possibly the most thinly veiled real world allusion this season (a tech company that's into self-driving cars and space travel… wonder where they got that one lol). Thoroughly enjoyable episode.

Because of you I'm going to spend the next 5 minutes wiping up soda spray.

They definitely got a lot of mileage out of the victim's only line of dialogue. Bell's bounty did feel a bit contrived but it's always nice to see some Holmes/Bell bonding. It actually made me curious about two things:

'The Secret Origin of Doomsday'

My earliest memory of sexism was an argument over whether Evil-Lyn was an 'action figure' or a 'doll'

I've come to accept that anything that seems clever was probably ripped off of someone else.

Wow this movie ripped off an episode of Modern Family

Yea, It's still voice over, but I was surprised at how many live action projects he's done. Pretty much anytime there's an animal sound and they don't use a recording from the actual animal it's safe to assume it was Frank Welker.

My personal take is if it's a good story then it doesn't matter. There's definitely a trend in marketing solely on diversity. Beyond catering to historically marginalized groups, it lets people who are not in those groups show off how tolerant/enlightened they are.

On first glance at the thumbnail I thought 'why did they use a picture of John Noble for David Bowie?' Admittedly when I tried to remember what Bowie looked like all I could picture was the animated version on Venture Bros.

Finally figured out why this guy sounded familiar.
He was on one of those Cracked.com lists 8 months ago!

According to the chart, the original Star Wars is only $200 million in adjusted gross from Gone with the Wind.

To be fair didn't Cameron spend the first few years after Avatar as basically a full-time oceanographer? He was distracted by other interests, whereas Star Wars had the benefit of being created by an artist with a true vision.. of putting a Star Wars logo on anything someone might conceivably buy.
