I like that he's high king because he knows how to farm. It's an uncomfortable synthesis of his pre-Brakebills life and a situation that would only happen with Brakebills/magic. I'm interested and not ready to flag the more problematic aspects.

Fight Club has a comic book sequel. I have yet to read it despit liking the artist (Camron Stewart).
In 1942 right after Pearl Harbor the Academy faced a similar question. Coincidently, Bette Davis was President of the Academy and she suggested that they sell tickets to the ceremony and donate the profits to war bonds. The Academy rejected this idea and Davis resigned feeling like she was only elected as a…
I think it's because they're relatively inexpensive and have a lot of product placement, off setting their costs. At least there are fewer than there used to be.
Either order is great
I was really hoping a later season would check in on him. I hate that the last time we was him was on a payphone in a fake park about to go cruising.
But the 11th Doctor…
After reading that The Good Fight had to do rewrites based on the election has anyone else been revisiting their feelings about The Good Wife's finale? Like I never had much hope for Diane's marriage, but now I'm kind of glad it got blown up before Diane would have to deal with looking at how deep their idealogical…
I think Williams had to be bought out of his contract. While the continuity would have been nice, I don't think he would have done better than Jones with that script and direction.
There is also a long exposition sequence introducing the Mayor, the Commissioner and the District Attorney, none of whom are main characters in the movie, but they do set up explaining where the climax will happen. When I rewatched it a couple of years ago I was surprised about it, especially in contrast to the Nolan…
I finished Search Party on Friday and plan to see Elle later today. Yesterday I saw bits a pieces of the pre-Disney Star Wars films on TNT, but otherwise my focus was on attempting to catch up on blogging and playing with my dog.
I thought Humphrey Bogart was the only one confused for the Gerber baby!
I've seen a few people blaming the recently election on failures to properly punish W and Wall Street. Like if we really condemned them we wouldn't swing back to the Right. Considering the hysteria I remember about Obama not following the Bush doctrine would make us less safe and anything done to curb Wall St was…
Conspiracy theories about Chelsea parentage are part of a right wing attempt to delegitimize the Clinton's as a family, make them seem somehow less real. There are similar conspiracy's about the Obamas and their daughters even though Malia and Sasha (like Chelsea) both have some of their parents distinctive features.
Bush vs Gore was the last election I was too young to vote in so I feel you.
As much as the Clintons bring the melodrama (was it too appropriate that Bill's first presidential campaign song was by Fleetwood Mac?) so much of their story has been exaggerated and reinterpreted by right wing hacks I'm wary of any fictionalized treatment of them.
I have a lot of cynicism about how Hollywood these days is all franchises all the time, but I'm intrigued by the possibility of little autorist movies set in the Star Wars universe. Think of as something like balance as the studio system is revived with the hybrid of movies and TV without the strength of either medium.
I'm really regretting not having watched it already so I can't have an opinion.
Corp is mother. Corp is father.
Well much of the world was colonized by Europe at that point so they assumed that by conquering Europe they'd annex the colonies.
