Star Wars never had much interest in mass media and its effects on the galaxy.

I find it weird that I've read two positive reviews of this that try to put in Verhoeven's larger career but avoid mentioning Showgirls especially as Elle starts with a rape and the rape in Showgirls is a big part of why people have such extreme reactions to it.
When I finally saw Showgirls I was impressed that all the things I was told about the movie that made it sleazy were really about sleaze, and there's a difference.
Every once in a while, I like to remind my sister that Bret Easton Ellis exists so I can see her remember how much she hated Less Than Zero
Thanks, I wasn't able to read the full text that episode.
I was so relieved too. I thought for a minute that she wouldn't so that they could keep Paul on the show, despite the fact that they bring out the worst in each other.
There have been various points where I've worried that this season just wasn't gelling, (including pretty much all of the Lindsay and Paul story). This episode, while generally kind of a slow burn, really felt on track. Even having Lindsay's story as a kind of rebuke to last weeks story resolution worked for me.
The amount of winking "we're from a different time" that happens in this video is kind of grating, largely because I didn't notice any during the first season of Stranger Things. (Though maybe there should be? or will be in future seasons?)
Yes! I would've happily have her and Michael do detective subplots that have nothing to do with Sin Rostro or Mutter.
Rogelio and The Grinder would make such a great match
I think her other jobs is going to continue to be a problem. It was recently announced that she was cast as the lead character on Bull's ex-wife.
This is part of why I didn't care that Rose was seemingly killed off part way through last season and was kind of disappointed with the Susanna reveal. There really isn't anywhere to go with this story, Luisa's not going to have a happy ending with the woman who killed her father, and yeah, Rose is abusive.
More or less the same category as A Serbian Film listed by Joe Blevins.
I feel like all the stuff with the priest taking care of his demented mother is really scary.
I did think of the Babadook as metaphoric and that made it scarier for me.
In general I'm one of the people who's much more scared of the idea of a scary movie than actually watching one. Actually watching I can find myself engaged, but rarely actually scared. (The Babadook is an exception because I can identify with the things the demon stands for and because I really wanted that mother and…
I feel like I should apologize for having sat through any of these. I can't apologize for watching The Apprentice as I never did, but I do feel bad for not protesting it.
Just posting that this shares a title with Barbara Peyton's memoir.

The anticipation for the premier on Friday is just so great.
Was it just me, or were these the first genuinely good heckles Jimmy has written? Probably not a coincidence as it's the first time he really knows his subject matter.
