It has an extended sequence where Kathy Bates proceeds to run over the young women after telling them "Face it, girls. I'm older and I have more insurance". (I've never actually seen it. That's just the one scene I remember from the trailer, which seemed to be in front of every VHS I rented back then.)

"Street Fighter is… a BAD movie?" - Zangief, probably.

Actually Have You Heard is from On the Threshold of a Dream but the truth is you can't go wrong with anything from the First 7 (including the magnificent Seventh Sojourn album). :)

Stairway to Heaven. Yes, one of the most clichéd, overplayed songs of the classic rock fold, but when 90s teenage me heard it for the first time, I was enthralled. The slow build-up, the acoustic strumming, the winding lyrics, the rocking crescendo. I had known the title, mostly thanks to the Wayne's World gag, but

Actually, yeah, I can definitely see that too. Either way that moment was telegraphing SOMETHING.

Yeah but the Ghost Rider story's probably gonna be done and dusted by the midseason finale (and of course, after Dr. Strange has come and gone). They'll still have a whole twelve episodes to play with then.

Ahhhhh, but apparently the Community episode in question predates this app, so it remains the predecessor! :)

So "Nosedive" is basically a nastier version of Community's "Meow Meow Beans" episode?

I just thought they were supporting our Presidential candidates. (Annnnnnnnd… rim shot.)

Yeah. Right off the bat I can think of a certain 1989 Tim Burton superhero movie that did exactly that.

Ohhhhh yeah! And as someone else brought up on here, definitely Man of Steel! The trailer's all hope and discovery and Hans Zimmer and epicness! The movie's just a buncha dudes who cant hurt each other punching each other. Over and over and over again. That movie actually killed my lifelong love of climactic action

I would also say Brave, but for different reasons. Based on that early teaser of her riding through the woods shooting arrows, I really thought that it was going to be a cool Lord of the Rings style kiddie adventure flick. You know, like the stuff they used to make all the time in the 80s, animated AND live-action?

Ha! Same. Preferring Joe to Transformers as an 80s child made you a rare breed indeed!

Haha! Different strokes I guess. I prefer Joe (and the Sunbow/Marvel brand as a whole), but I still cannot fault Real Ghostbusters. It holds up, has great voicework and genuinely creepy stories. Especially the 1st super long Lorenzo Music-led season! (Not too big on the Coulier years.) And it's definitely my favorite

Ahhhh yes. When Nancy "Bart Simpson" Cartwright gets wished into Cartoon World. Holy crap! She still hasn't gotten out!!!

Okay! Yeah. Good point. So I'll change my phrasing to best American PRODUCED cartoon (even if it was still actually animated by Japanese studios). But not Voltron. Joe was still better than Voltron. That one really does NOT hold up!

Ha ha! Fair enough.

I kinda hate every commenter on here. It was an 80s cartoon. It was probably the BEST 80s cartoon, along with Dungeons & Dragons. Seriously, compare and contrast it with literally any other cartoons from that era. No, it didn't have people getting killed left and right in a cartoon aimed at 7 year olds, yes the comics

Ahhhhh! So, then, the Average Nerd!

Very true. That movie would definitely be rated R today!
