I read the comments and it struck me how no one picked up on the "top floor of the house" being rented. Which is why I pointed it out.

So dead people / ghosts are free to slam living people's heads into stoves?

The permits aren't really the issue. He already got approval and permits from the Town / Park Service. He's free to rent the floor. It's the "fire codes" John was referring to and he said he was "fine with it as long as it happens". It's the writers who are being sloppy if it is indeed the same property.

You're so right. As soon as the whole "talking to dead people" theme reared it's head last season, I groaned. It's Lost all over again. And yes, once a liar, always a liar.

Can't it be both?

Talking to "dead people" / "ghosts" was also a big part of Lost. And the similarities don't end there, either. Lindelof is repeating himself. Also, I doubt that Kevin and Nora were were going to rent the house that John burned down with his buddies. Isaac was only renting out the top floor, not the whole house. And

But he was only going to rent "the top floor" in his house. Not the whole house. So if Keven and Nora keep going on about "they rented a house" this can't be the same one.

I miss Jill's friend (Emily Meade). The camera just loves that girl. Both her and Ann Dowd (Patti) appeared in L&O SVU..

I am certain the writers are influenced by Peter Weir's film as well. It's at least a nod to that movie.

They must have cut the last scene of some zombies surfing just off shore to the tune of "Surfin' USA".

Actually, if someone was bitten and then didn't turn or die, then that would be a sure sign of 'immunity'.

This show is in dire need of a laugh track.

Electricity / Lights out all over the city but somehow they still work to illuminate the stairs to the stadium? 2 Soldiers on a lift is the extent of the defense? And they can't even hit the side of a barn, never mind the side of a head. Nice plan, Rueben. You idiot.

He started the whole thing with those "books". And they were just as awful.

It was Maggie Grace's & Ian Somerhalder's characters from Lost I was referring to. Not 'Sawyer' or 'Cassidy'. And they were indeed non-blood-related-siblings who were dating.

If they're going down this road, they'll be copying the romance of the two non-blood-related siblings in 'Lost'. Ugh, I can't believe I just referenced 'Lost'.

Toward the end of this episode, Alicia & her prom date Chris, observe two Humvees driving down the street. Alicia says: "Something's wrong." You think so Sherlock? As soon as she said it, the entire group of people I was watching this with burst out in laughter. Sharp as a tack that one is..

Yeah, no. Strand said he was a salesman (closer). And he's well spoken. With illogically trite dialogue to be sure, but well spoken nonetheless. And you just don't 'acquire' a tailor made suit. That's the reason his little speech made no sense. And looting, or just slipping into the local Kay Jewelers, is 'forbidden'

I hope they come up with an Intro musical theme like 'Dynasty' or 'Dallas' for next week's finale. Then, " Walker's Landing" will be complete.

I agree with just about EVERYTHING you wrote except "I'll personally be stomping his throat." I hope that was a metaphor. If so, I'm on board. lol Anyway, I understand your passion. I spent a lot of my time (and I'll admit I was invested) watching this show. Some of the ideas / mysteries that were raised were
